Frequently asked questions & answers

Here you will find the answers to the most common questions about pricing, process, quality and data security. Something missing? Ask us directly.

Prices & payment

What does scanning plans and documents cost?

The price depends on the format, quantity and chosen options such as colour or file naming. With our price calculator you receive a specific guide price in less than a minute – no enquiry, no waiting. From 50 plans or 10 folders, volume discounts apply automatically.

Are there volume discounts?

Yes. For plans the unit price drops from 50, 200 and 500 items, for folders from 10 and 50 items, and for loose sheets from 5'000 and 20'000 pages. The calculator shows you the active discount tier directly as you adjust the quantity.

How do I pay?

Conveniently by invoice with a 30-day payment term – you only pay once you have received your digital files. Advance payment or credit card payment is not required.

Is the calculated price binding?

The calculator provides a guide price based on your details. Once your originals arrive, we check the quantity and condition and confirm the definitive price before we begin scanning. If anything differs significantly, we consult you beforehand.

Is there a small-quantity surcharge?

For small orders under CHF 100 a moderate small-quantity surcharge applies, covering the fixed costs per order such as registration, quality control and packaging. From CHF 100 it no longer applies. The calculator shows it automatically as soon as it applies – there are no hidden surcharges.

Process & shipping

How long does digitisation take?

The processing time depends on the quantity and condition of your originals. We confirm the expected time frame with you as soon as your consignment arrives. We keep you informed of the goods received and completion by email.

How do I send in my plans safely?

Plans are best rolled up in a sturdy cardboard tube, and folders and files in a padded box – each as a parcel with tracking. After ordering, you receive an email with our postal address and packaging instructions.

Do you also collect large holdings?

Yes, for larger quantities – for example several removal boxes or an entire plan cabinet – we can arrange a courier collection at your location on request. Simply give us a rough estimate of the quantity.

What happens to my originals?

After scanning and quality control, we return all originals to you by post, insured and carefully packaged. On request, we instead handle their proper, confidential destruction – you decide this when you order.

How do I receive the digital files?

By email with a download link (transfer link). For very large volumes of data we can alternatively deliver them on a USB stick or external hard drive together with the returned originals.

Am I kept informed of the order status?

Yes, you receive emails at the key stages: order confirmation with the postal address, confirmation that the goods have arrived, and finally the download link once quality control is complete.

Quality & formats

Which file formats do I receive?

The standard is PDF; on request we deliver PDF/A for long-term archiving, TIFF as a lossless master format, or multipage files that bundle several plans together. Simply state your preferred format when ordering.

At what resolution do you scan?

Optionally 200, 300 or 400 dpi. For most construction plans 300 dpi is ideal; we scan fine technical drawings at 400 dpi so that even the thinnest lines are preserved cleanly.

Which plan formats can you process?

All common formats from A4 to A0 as well as oversized and overlength sheets. Rolled, folded or slightly damaged plans are no problem either – fragile originals are fed by hand.

Can the files be named according to my scheme?

Yes. Provide us with a list or a naming scheme – for example by plan number, building or folder spine – and we name every file exactly accordingly. You choose this option directly in the price calculator.

Do you also scan stapled or bound documents?

Yes. We unstaple stapled dossiers for scanning and restore the original state afterwards as far as possible. Bound documents are digitised gently, without damaging the binding, if that is your wish.

Security & confidentiality

How confidentially are my documents handled?

Only the scanning team involved has access to your documents; our premises are access-controlled. On request we sign a confidentiality agreement – for company files, personnel dossiers or sensitive works plans.

How long do you keep my scan data stored?

After delivery we keep the data for a limited period as a backup, in case anything goes wrong during the download. After that it is irrevocably deleted from all systems; on request we confirm the deletion in writing.

Is the return of my originals insured?

Yes, the return is insured and tracked. We handle the packaging to the same standard with which we treat your originals on our premises: carefully and with documentation.
